Hey, who out there are musicians that are either playing/jamming/or sitting around on idle? I myself am on idle, sadly, and am a Guitarist and Singer in a band that is still an infant learning to walk. If you ARE a musician or are just a HUGE fan of a band and want to make a shout out to represent your favorite band REPLY!! I am a HUGE Slash fan from Guns N' Roses to Velvet Revolver. Gotta represent!
I have been playing guitar for a couple of years now. I have a Danelectro that is in need of new pickups...probably will never be used again. I also have a Epiphone Gibson Special, and bass is a Fender MX-4(I believe that was the model...) Amps are a 15 watt Crate and a 10 watt Ibanez. Acoustic is a Fender from Sam Goodies. I also play the alto sax...well use to.

I wouldn't say I'm great, but I feel I play just fine. I am not a fan of playing tabs, I just enjoying playing my own stuff. I'd say I'm into funk, rock type of stuff if I had to pick.
I used to play guitar a lot when I was younger, I stopped for about six years and just picked it up again recently and I'm amazed at how bad I am, it's like I have to retrain myself as I'm really clumsy and slow now.

It's still fun though, and since I have no ambition to actually do anything with it career wise anymore I find it pretty relaxing.
I am idle, perfecting my 60s folk sound.
It's always good to just pick up where you left off, hell if I DON'T get famous (yeah like that will happen) and I see Nayelly (my Epiphone Les Paul Custom) laying around, I will pick her up and Jam! Even if it's been years. Music is just moving ya know? Oh and PullThePlug, sorry for the cliche question but, can you play the Baker Street Sax arrangement? That would be AWESOME!
i just sit on the front porch, playing the hawaii 5-0 theme on my guitar all day long
Haha, sweet... I can play Free Falling outside all day long especially since it is finally cooling down... Nirvana (state of being not the band lol)

Tom Petty, right? 'Cause I always sing along to that song as if it's the Richard Pryor anthem:
"And I'm freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee....
Freeeeee-ba-a-a-a-as-innnnnnnn'..."

Some folks know my steez, but as far as actual playing
I can only perhaps ad-lib by ear on my keyboard;
my strength is in programming and some compo.

I am a guitar, drummer, light piano, triangle player content with just trying the solo artist thing with my Mac laptop.

I own:
-Marshall MG15 Amp(For small spaces)
-Marshall MG100 Amp(To induce hearing loss in small and open spaces)
-Gibson Les Paul(The one in my avatar)
-Fender Telecaster
-Fender Jazz Bass
-Beaver Creek acoustic Bass
-Epiphone Sheraton(essentially a pure black ES-335 with gold hardware)
-Fender Tiki Acoustic
-Epiphone Les Paul Special(An....interesting...guitar.)
-Some Les Paul copy from the 70's
-An 60's Sears acoustic my Aunt used to own.
-A guitar my Uncle found at a refuse station modeled after a Jackson(Wish I was kidding about that one.....)
-Olympic brand Drum kit(Made in England in the 60's. Used to be my Uncle's. Pain in the ass to buy skins for.)

And next month, in celebration of my railway job I'm gonna buy a banjo. Probably a Fender one.
Nice, man. How's your rig anyway? or do you do all that with your laptop? I don't think you mentioned any effect pedals or anything in that area. You should also get a Jazz Chorus 120. The clean tone on that is just beautiful. But I doubt I need to tell you that now do I? random question, are you a member on SlashOnline? cuz I think I remember seeing your avy on there...

I do all my guitar stuff with my laptop when I have the time. Now that I'm pulling in a bit more money I'll probably buy a mic set for drums and get a pad that has a room ready for converting to a studio. I should actually buy a new kit. Taye has some sweet looking ones for under a grand......

As for pedals, I got a basic Dunlop Wah, a Danelectro Black Coffee distortion and a Zoom G2.1 effects pedal which plugs into my laptop via USB and works with Cubase software to record guitar and bass parts.

I'm not on slashonline, but assuming it's devoted to Slash, I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the users had Les Pauls. lol

I need to buy a new acoustic and I'd like to replace my Gretsch that I sold years ago. Right now I just have an old Telecaster. I don't use pedals, I used to have a tremolo pedal but my amp has it built in so it was redundant. I do need a distortion pedal since my amp has no master, it's tough to get drive at lower volumes.
If I had money I would totally get my rig fuckin crazy, but sadly I don't..
