So yeah. SFIV is always on my brain. I've been watching quite a bit of match vids over the last few days. There are some real awesome players out there already. So instead of making this another SFIV thread that's bound to fail, how about just general fighting games video, which is really just a SFIV thread in disguise.

Ryu vs. Sagat (SFIV)

Awesome fight that really showcases the awesome saving system. I'm really glad they took parries out of the game. Fireball traps were a big part of Street Fighter gameplay and they were kinda useless in SF3. I can just taste the tears when little kids cry foul after I launch fireball trap after another.

Ryu vs C viper (SFIV)

Abel vs Balrog (SFIV)

El Fuerte vs Ken (SFIV)

These show off the new characters nicely. All 3 of them look like a blast to play as. Especially Abel.

Yun vs Chun Li (SFIII)

And this is one of the best SF3 fights I've seen. The whole match is really good, but the last round is fucking sick. It starts at 2:05
Urien VS Hugo, three rounds, things get interesting near the end of the second round:

KOF 98 vid featuring a guy named Dakou who is a total pressure beast with Kyo:

Another KOF98 vid, this time with XiaoHai - first round is wow, round 2 is predictable, and the third is an amazing comeback:

edit: the last round in that Chun/Yun vid was fucking sweet, those parries were insane
I don't care how often it's posted, but I'll always love that Ken vs. Chun Li match with Daigo and that other fellow.
I wanted the Chun-Li guy to win in that last one until he grew dependent on throws. That's such a cheap tactic.
Why. It's a big part of the game. Those throws were fucking sick, and he played head games big time on him. If you look closely in the second round Yun keeps walking into the throws because he's anticipating an attack up high he's trying to tech block.

Also wibble you should check out the SF3 vid I posted (the one were talking about) if you liked the Daigo vid. This one impressed me more because that was all planed on the fly. As soon as he broke from the throw he did Genai Jin as a decoy to get Chun to start up her super which he was waiting for and tech blocked. Awesome shit.
