Thunder Force 6 arrived yesterday.
I don't know what to think; it feels a little cheesy. Visually it looks like it was supposed to be a PSP game and then they changed their minds when the game was almost done. And it's pretty damn short by Thunder Force standards. By the time you finally get into the groove of a level, the boss warning pops up. I'll have to keep playing.
Forgot to throw in this week's purchases:
Red Alert 3: Premier Edition
So far I am 5 missions deep into the Soviet campaign, and everything feels true to form. I love the Red Alert franchise. The campy live action sequences are fantastic. Tim Curry and JK Simmons are stealing the show.
God of War 2 - PS2
Yeah, I'm slightly overdue for this one. I really enjoyed playing the original last year, but felt like I'd get to burned out on the gameplay if I played the sequel immediately after. So here we are a year and a half later. I am definitely in the mood to kill things.
Penny Arcade: OTRSPOD - PSN
Looking forward to it. Come to think of it, as an owner of every PA compilation book released, I suppose I'm a rather die-hard fan. Hopefully the humor is faithful to the comics.
Siren: Blood Curse - PSN
Couldn't resist at $30.
Rockband Drumkit PS3 used $29.99
Rockband PS3 used $19.99
And my Guitar works from guitar hero. Damn these music games are addicting.
Fallout 3
I couldn't really get into Oblivion because of it's combat system, but from everything I've seen and heard about this game, this could be the one to suck me in.
I finally purchased a new PC yesterday after going 3 months without one. I've been using my iPhone and PS3 to browse online. Here are the specs of my PC, it should arrive at the end of the week. I plan on purchasing a video card with my next paycheck.
Dell Inspiron 530
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Processor
Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit
640 GB SATA HDD
6GB (2x2, 2x1) DDR2 RAM 667Mhz
Dell 19-in-1 Media Card Reader
Hitachi 16x DVD+/-RW Drive
Total came out to $540 shipped. I'll take pics once it arrives.
South Park Season 5 - $19.99
Xbox 360 Arcade Pack with that Sonic Tennis game.
Fable II
I'll be picking up a 20gb hard drive asap, but am in no immediate hurry with just the one game.
Huzzah! I have officially joined the current generation!
Bought a sweet 19in Samsung LDC Wide screen monitor and a GeForce 9600 GT 1 gig videocard. Now my game set up is nearly complete
Huzzah! I have officially joined the current generation!
Congrats, Sean. Seriously. You now have a ridiculous number of good games to choose from. =]
Sean, you should've bought the 60gb bundle with Lego Indiana Jones and Kung Fu Panda. It's only $100 more.
I went on a little VC buying spree:

Art Style: Cubello -- 600 points/$6

Art Style: Orbient -- 600 points/$6

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past -- 800 points/$8

Shining Force -- 800 points/$8

Super Dodge Ball -- 500 points/$5
Seeing as how I didn't want any of those games I really didn't want to spend the money.
It's less the games and more the HD space. Roughly 9GB of the 20GB drive is partioned away, that leaves you with 11 free GB and that can fill up pretty fast surprisingly.
I dunno, I've got the 20GB hard drive and between 20 XBLA games and over 5GB worth of Rock Band/GH: World Tour downloads, I've still got 5GB left. And this is over the course of 2 years and change. Unless he plans on going nuts with downloading movies and whatnot, he'll be fine for a while.
I should also note that I pretty much deleted everything that came pre-downloaded onto the thing except for Hexic.
