That was what I was thinking, but it ran fine until i drove for a decent amount of time...we'll never know I suppose.
Cars are stupidly expensive to maintain. Even my car, which is 7 years old and has about 67,000 miles on it, has required an idiotic amount of maintenance. I guess until I actually owned a car I did realize that you had to sink money into it but I never realized how much. I'm sure I've put $2500-$3000 into it over the last three years and that's a conservative estimate.
What do you drive, if you don't mind me asking?

Ah, that makes sense. I saw a few Volvos for cheap. All looked in great shape, but I knew better to get involved since maintaining them will cost me way to much. If I ever get enough though, I want a Subaru. My dad had a 96 Legacy Wagon and is still running with 400,000+ miles and never had a major problem.
