I'm downloading it now. I have no idea whether the demo is multiplayer or not, but if it is we need to get some hoolies off of Gears tonight.

I really want to buy this one, but I just won't have the time to give. Such is life. When you're a child, money is the problem. When you're a teenager, it's time. When you're an adult, you're fucked on both.

I'm qualifying myself as a teenager in spite of being 20 on account of living in my parents' basement.

Anyhow, Left 4 Dead. Play it.
I believe it is multiplayer.

I'll download it now, maybe I'll jump on later.
Demos that are over a gig take forever to download. By the time it's done I'll be asleep.
The demo gives you the option to play co-op with other people online as the Survivors on the No Mercy map, or you can go it alone with AI teammates. I played the demo on Steam on the single player option and it seemed kind of easy on the Normal difficulty.
I'm downloading the demo as I type. I would love to play co-op with some Hoolies.
This game rocks.
My hard drive came in today. First thing I did was download and play this. Even the single player is awesome.
Just finished playing the demo by myself and it's a very solid game. The zombies move quicker than what I was expecting, which I'm mixed about, but it does add to the action and tension. The first time a zombie suddenly dashed towards me I jumped.

I love the emphasis on teamwork. You can save, heal or revive your teammates, and the later two takes some time as you would expect. The in-game characters even talk to each other. Once my character alerted everyone that he found an item and twice he told them to hurry up and get to "safety". It really adds to the immersion.

If I hadn't already spent so much money this holiday season and didn't have so many games to play, I'd probably pick it up on day one.
I played the demo to. As much as I really liked the demo, I can tell the game is all about having 3 other friends to play it with...and I do not. I really don't think I'd be into it if I wasn't playing with at least one other friend and as it stands, no one I know cares about the game.
A bunch of classmates and I downloaded the demo tonight, we had a couple of LAN matches after classes. Left 4 Dead is such a freaky game. I had fun but I don't think it's something I'd buy though, it's too intense, I was yelling half the damn time while playing it.

My friend shooting the hood of a car right after the game warned us about setting off alarms and how it could attract unwanted attention was one of the worse moments. Getting gang rushed from every side and then having them drop down from the rooftops, holy shit. They're everywhere and they run velociraptor fast.

The game is definently harder with more people. It changes up the enemy encounters, how many enemies attack your group, it alters where the super zombies are placed, the kinds of super zombies you'll face, everything switches up.
This is what Resident Evil: Outbreak should have been.

I've yet to play the game but watching the videos has put this game near the top of my to-buy list. I just hope that by the time I get around to playing it, there will still be a lot of players playing online.
Me and my friend beat this on Expert the other day, the only thing that gave us trouble was the tank zombies, which they are close to being invincible. Between the 360 and PC version, I prefer the PC just due to the fact I'm used to playing Counter-Strike on a K/M setup and I can aim alot better.
This game should only have open mics, I swear half the fun of playing this game is listening to people play it. My classroom gets sooo nosiy when there's a couple of LAN matches going on.

The highest difficulty level is kind of ridiculous. We kept dying once we got to the open streets in the first level. We would make it just past the first police car and the first swarming on the street. But we would always die in the building near the subway entrance. Someone would get puked on by a Boomer, a Hunter would pounce on someone, someone would shoot the hood of the car and set off the alarm. We died and we did that bit over and over. Finally I just abandoned everyone when they got thrown up on by a boomer and swarmed. I just jumped out of a window over the heads of a few rushing zombies and ran for the safe house. I locked myself in and waited for them to all die so they could respawn and we could finally move on.

It's a lot of fun, it's not a relaxing game to play but it's a lot of fun. I would buy it but I just can't get over the price, it's too much for a strictly multiplayer game. It's almost 60$ Canadian, fuck that.
