God, Adult Swim took the "random" stick and ran with it. Just because Space Ghost, Brak and ATHF were hits, and FLCL was one of their more popular animes (though, I think they hyped that one to be more popular than it really was), they think they can continue this trend of throwing shit at the camera and attract an audience. Boondocks is great (though, not for me), Venture Bros. is absolutely incredible, Robot Chicken was good for like three seasons, but those shows have SOME substance. Whether or not it's oft tangential, they make sense. They aren't just pointless character designs with awful ad-lib dubbed over. Every time I see a new show from AS, it is the most pointless garbage I've ever seen.
Admittedly, I haven't given Metalocalypse a chance, and I have yet to hear anything bad about it. But what the shit is the rest of this? And Tim And Eric? I refuse to watch it.

They Canceled Birdman and The Brak Show for Assy McGee.
that pretty much sums up the situation over at Adult Swim.

I agree, Adult Swim has finally fixed their anime (Saturday) schedule, which had been utter shit a few weeks ago. They also canceled Moral Orel (two episodes left), and their live action shows suck (besides Tom Goes to the Mayor and Saul of the Mole Men).
Intelligent humor seems to be leaving them little by little, however, Super Jail is pretty good, Sage can attest to that. I wish I could post the whole episode. Perhaps you can see it some day for download since they have some of season 1 on PSN (or OnDemand).
Here's another part of the same episode

You know what show I was just recently introduced to? Home Movies, I don't care what you guys say that show makes me laugh out loud at least a couple times an episode.

I hate the style of Superjail. I'm convinced I'll get eye cancer if I look at it too much.

You're six years late, but I forgive you.

Great rant. I hadn't heard it all summed up nicely until now. I just saw an episode of Moral Orel for the first time and thought I'd taken too many drugs. Turns out it's just a shitty show.

What? Nug, that's crazy talk.
From just watching an episode, you'd think Morel Orel was a one trick pony. Many see it as just another show poking fun with a satirical view on Christianity and their self righteous nature. But if you follow the episodes, there’s a bigger picture of a boy (Orel) being raised with exaggerated Christian values, and how he learns to break away from it and become his own person (the episode where he learns about Buddhists and the episodes with his friend who works in the smut shop). Lasslo canned the show because it was too serious for their line-up). It’s a pretty deep show that downplays it’s message.

It is too serious for [as] and it annoys me every time it comes on. It bores the piss out of me and even comes off preachy at times.

Well, maybe you're right Epcott. It is true that I only watched the one episode. So, maybe if I watched more of them I'd appreciate it more. All I know is that one episode I saw made me hate puppies and grandmas.

I wasn't expecting that answer. Well alright.

Hahaha.
Forget "Seven strangers" (the Real World), putting Crow and Sage in a house alone together is all you need for drama to ensue. I know that particular comment was very mild, but the back-and-forth between you two at this board is pretty constant... And amusing. Keep it up.
