Ok, I have a Tetris and Dr. Mario ROM on my ZSNES and have been playing that when the boards get a little slow on topics that are of my interest, and I've been able to get my highest score (a pathetically low one, I'm sure, in most other's eyes) tonight. On level 9, with 98 lines cleared, I got 84,219 which best my previous record (also set tonight) of 65,109 on level 9 with 99 lines cleared. I can't top 100!!!!!!! So what are all your best scores?
Who'd be interested in a Tetris (preferrably Tetris and Dr. Mario, since that's what I have. I could get another Tetris game rom, though, I suppose) tournament, by the way? I played LinkRkc back when I had just picked up the game for the first time in years.. maybe the first time this millenium... but sucked horribly. I'm much better now and am dying to test myself against all you biatches.

I prefer competition over beating my own score. My single player accomplishments are lackluster compared with what I can do competing against another human. I just play better when I'm playing against others. I can't speak for others, but that's why I'm not trying for a high score.
How do you people score your Tertis? My friends growing up thought "it was all about how many lines you scored" but I was all about the actual score. I play it at work when I am bored so I think I have my skill as good as I will get. My high score this past week was over 200,000 points(204,185 I think). Granted, that's a good run for me uninterrupted and I have some good karma cookin on the day. Usually I linger around 100,000 points but sometimes I get in the zone and totally rape the game. Ah, I could have some fun with Tetris.

Does anyone else score markedly better on one version of Tetris than another? Like, I can rip up the GB version, but I have a bad time with the NES one. I'm not sure why that is, but I've heard of others having a similar problem.
