No, seriously, what is it? Does anyone here ever experience a cold torso and warm arms? Because I'm nearly twenty-six and I can't think of a single time I felt like I needed something to cover my torso but not my arms because they were already comfortable or too warm.

Since I've rarely played the vidya games in the past couple years, I'm liquidating the vast majority of my collection.

In terms of hardware, I've got:
- An Xbox with the "S" controller and a headset
- A black GameCube (earlier model with the high-def video output) with a black wired controller and a wireless "Wavebird" controller

I'm currently playing through Dragon Age: Origins right now as a warrior and boy is it fun. It also has that addictive WoW quality where there's always one more thing you can do.

Very excited for the sequel, even though it deviates somewhat from the original in that you can only choose to play as a Human. Seems like they're turning it more into Mass Effect with how they want to tell the story. At least now people can start to address me as something other than "Gray Warden."

Video game dreams

So I had a dream last night that mixed a Silent Hill survival-horror atmosphere with 3D Mario objective-based levels. Basically, in the dream, I was told that I was playing Silent Hill. Naturally, the game was nothing like SH except in the horror sense. Basically, I went into a house (at this point, I was physically moving, not playing a game), and it was in shambles. The whole place was just beaten down and rotted. And in each room was a different "level". But to access each part of said "level", I had to find certain items to activate them. The levels were basically a history of how the house came to be so evil, with each room focusing on one story. None of this made sense in the dream, so I'll just assume that each person these stories revolved around lived in this house at one point.

There was one room that had a focus on a clown. And there was apparently one item in the room that would send me into a boss fight with him. I kept hearing a Jack-In-The-Box playing from a desk drawer, but I didn't open it for fear of fighting him. There was another room with a story of a highschool guy who apparently was really popular, and slept with several girls, and promptly murdered them. It was a very twisted "game". The dream ended just as I went into a room with a Christmas motif. I was really wanting to see that one. But overall, I would really like to see a game like that. I guess it isn't bragging if it's my subconscious, but that was a really cool concept.

Nier - Couple more hours in. Heading to Facade for the first time. Realized how nice the magic attacks are since you can totally spam the weak attack and it kills everything from a safe distance. Real nice.

Moogs, I saw there's four endings. But I also saw something about earning them from New Game+. Can you see the best ending the first time through or do you have to replay at least once to see it? How's that work?

Let me know if you think prices are way off, and we can figure out shipping on a per-sale basis (for example, buying one game versus buying 10). I've also posted this list on Craigslist, which accounts for the few titles I've sold so far, but I know they'll find good homes if I sell here.

I never bought used, so these are all single-owner titles, and I took good care of my babies. These sat in a closed case next to my entertainment center unless being played, and for the last couple years have been stored in a box in my closet. They're in beautiful condition.

August Movies [insert clever subtitle here]

Kick-Ass - I loved it, thought it was funny, clever, the action was great, awesome comic book movie. Also, the little girl that plays Hit-Girl is fantastic, saw her learning and practicing her fight scenes in a video online, pretty amazing for somebody so young.

Greenberg - Long and slow, but I thought it was a quality movie, Ben Stiller was perfect in the role, first time I've seen him act any different than all his other movies.

The Men Who Stare at Goats - George Clooney can do no wrong right now, everything I see him in he's great in, and I used to really dislike this guy for Batman and Robin. Add Jeff Bridges, Ewan McGregor, Kevin Spacey and some other great actors and this was a good movie, funny and out there and of course carried by the greatness of Clooney.

An Education - Sometimes I'm in the mood for a good British movie, and this was a good one. Carey Mulligan is a great young actress, she made this movie (Sarsgard is good too), and the atmosphere and way it was shot really make it feel like it's set in the time period it's supposed to be set in . I've read some reviews that say it's slow, and it is, but sometimes I'm in the mood for a slow movie, with cool music, cool people, cool scenery, good film.

Just about to jet to work so this is the place to talk about the Xbox Live Summer of Arcade titles. Have any you know you're buying? Any on the fence? Want some people for some of the co-op stuff?

"Microsoft has revealed the release dates and pricing for the line-up of Summer of Arcade titles for 2010. They are as follows:

July 21st - Limbo for 1200MSP
July 28th - Hydro Thunder Hurricane for 1200MSP
August 4th - Castlevania: Harmony Of Despair for 1200MSP
August 11st - Monday Night Combat for 1200MSP
August 18th - Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light for 1200MSP

1200MSP for each game is a bit steep -- I'm a little concerned for the Castlevania game to be honest.There are some good deals though -- If you buy at least 3 of them you'll get 400MSP back on your account. If you buy all 5 you'll get 1200MSP back -- essentially a free game, or the equivalent of paying $12USD instead of $15USD for each."

Yeah, thread title says it. And I don't expect this thread to be too exciting.

Gamespot's review just hit and it's a dazzling 3.5. But everything I've read actually sounds like improvements over the original and it's just getting a poor review score from places because while they're improvements most people expect more a couple years after the original hit. Like they complaint about checkpoints being spread too far apart. The first one didn't even have checkpoints!

So yeah, what do you think? I'm seriously thinking of starting up GameFly again for a couple months mostly for this game and a couple others.
